The Organizational Committee of the 2008 IEEE Workshop on Spoken Language Technology invites companies, agencies, and organizations, interested in sponsoring SLT2008, to be held in the beautiful city of Goa, India from December 15-18, 2008. The goal of this workshop is to bring both the speech processing and natural language processing communities together to share innovative research and present recent advances in various areas of spoken language technology, with the expectation that such a confluence of the researchers from both communities will foster new ideas, collaborations and new research directions in this area. The IEEE SLT2008 workshop is endorsed by both ISCA and ACL organizations as well. The four day program includes both oral and poster presentations of recent works and latest results, keynote talks, special sessions and demonstrations.
How sponsorship helps us
Through general or targeted sponsorship donations, we will be able to offer a reasonably priced technical conference in one of the world’s most beautiful city. Our commitment to providing an affordable, high quality technical conference is based on our belief that a reasonably priced conference will increase attendance and thus, scientific exchange. It is our goal to include a diverse group of participants, from the U.S. and the international research communities as well as from Indian subcontinent and Asia. We hope to attract participants from academia, industry, and government organizations. Of particular interest is making the conference affordable to graduate students who are often performing the most innovative research. Your sponsorship donations will help us to achieve our goals.
How sponsorship benefits you
We do not know any better way to acknowledge your generosity than to say “thank you”! We will try our best to recognize and acknowledge the generosity of our sponsors in our program and websites so that it is known to all the conference delegates and our community in general. The SLT08 committee had established several mechanisms to acknowledge these sponsorship contributions. For example, all of our sponsors will be recognized in the meeting program and our web-site. At certain levels of sponsorship, we also will provide various opportunities to highlight your individual expertise, services, products, and/or opportunities (free registration) to send individuals from your organization to participate in this conference. Please see the attached table or the various levels of sponsorships and the various means of acknowledgements.
